Unified Portal Design

Design Role:

  • As an user experience strategist, I was responsible for leading the design of a new All-In-One ServiceNow Portal and exclusive remote team building and support portal for a large university. This included:
    • Conducting design thinking workshops to gather requirements from stakeholders and users
    • Creating user journey maps and personas to understand user needs
    • Conducting data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
    • Designing a unified portal that was easy to use and navigate
    • Working with stakeholders from 6 different departments to ensure that the portal met their needs
    • Continuously iterating on the design to improve the user experience

Challenge:

  • The biggest challenge I faced was the complexity of the project. There were a lot of different stakeholders with different needs, and it was important to find a solution that met everyone’s needs.
  • Another challenge I faced was the timeline. The project was very time-sensitive, and it was important to deliver the portal on time.

Solution:

  • I was able to overcome these challenges by being organized and efficient. I created a project plan that outlined the tasks that needed to be completed and the timeline for completing them. I also communicated regularly with stakeholders to ensure that everyone was on the same page.
  • I was also able to overcome these challenges by being creative and innovative. I came up with solutions that met the needs of all stakeholders and that were also feasible within the timeline.
  • As a result, I was able to deliver a portal that was on time, within budget, and met the needs of all stakeholders.
